YouTube Live Stream Earnings Calculator

Live streams can earn from three sources: ads, Super Chat (and Super Stickers) and channel memberships. This calculator estimates each one from your average viewers, streaming schedule and audience support, after YouTube's revenue share.

How to use the live stream earnings

  1. 1Enter average concurrent viewers and how often you stream.
  2. 2Adjust donation and membership assumptions.
  3. 3See monthly totals and earnings per stream hour.

How it works

Unique viewers per stream ≈ average concurrent viewers × a turnover multiplier (people come and go during a stream). Ad revenue = monthly unique views ÷ 1,000 × RPM. Super Chat = unique viewers × % who donate × average donation × streams, and memberships = members × price. Creators receive 70% of Super Chat and membership revenue (before platform/app store fees and taxes).

Frequently asked questions

How much do streamers earn from Super Chat?

It varies hugely. Small streams often see under 1% of viewers donate; engaged communities can be much higher.

When can I turn on Super Chat?

Super Chat is part of the YouTube Partner Program and is available from the 500-subscriber fan-funding tier in supported countries.
