YouTube Keyword Finder

Find out which keywords a video is really targeting. The tool reads the video's title, tags and description and ranks the words and phrases that appear across them — the stronger the overlap, the more deliberately the creator is targeting that term.

How to use the keyword finder

  1. 1Paste a video link.
  2. 2Press Find keywords.
  3. 3Copy the phrases you want to research further.

How it works

Each phrase (one to three words) scores 3 points for appearing in the title, 2 for every tag it appears in, and 1 for each mention in the description (up to 5). Two-word phrases get a 1.5× boost and three-word phrases 2×, because longer phrases show deliberate targeting. Common filler words are ignored. This shows what the video targets — it doesn't estimate search volume.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as the tag extractor?

No. Tags are one input. The keyword finder also weighs the title and description, which matter more for search.

Does it show search volume?

No. YouTube doesn't publish search volume, so we don't invent it.
